  • Features

This feed was originally designed for Show Lambs of all ages from weaning to adults. It has also been a popular feed for use as a calf starter or where a producer wants a high protein, well-fortified, top notch ruminant ration. With this feed, we take all the protein, alfalfa & most of the vitamins & minerals and pellet them together. This pellet is blended back in with the flaked corn and barley, molasses and cottonseed hulls. This allows for less fines in the trough as well as a more consistent product with every bite and less sorting. This feed contains several essential oils, bypass fats, organic zinc and other highly bioavailable trace minerals. Medicated with ammonium chloride for the prevention of urinary calculi and decoquinate for the prevention of coccidiosis.

  • Feeding

For cattle on pasture or confinement weighing 350 lbs or more, can be hand fed at 1 to 3 percent of body weight or free choice. Provide plenty of good quality forage and fresh clean water at all times. We also recommend that all livestock have some hay and/or pasture with this feed as it does not replace the function of long stem roughage in the rumen. The formula does not contain any added copper so it can be fed sheep & goats as well as cattle. DO NOT FEED TO HORSES.

  • Features

Red Chain Balancer is a dual purpose "range stretcher" / grower ration feed. This feed is very useful in times when pastures are limited, in poor condition, or when hay supplies need to be stretched.

Balancer has an energy level about like that of good alfalfa hay and has a decent carbohydrate level as well. Its formula is based on our fiber pellets, loose rice mill feed, DDG, soy hull pellets and flaked corn mixed with molasses. Balancer is also fortified with calcium, selenium and vitamins A, D, & E. This feed is in a bulky meal form that will need to be fed in a trough. All the loose mealy ingredients in this do not make it the most visually appealing feed, however, the fat level and low price work to make up for that. This price is usually a bit under the current Stocker 10 price but it is probably half step down from Stocker 10 as far as digestibility and palatability.
