Pellet
Animal Class: Horses/Equineeding & Nursing Mares and Foals, Growing
Colts.
Feeding Rate: Mature horses - non-worked - 1/2% bodyweight.
Pregnant mares and breeding stallions - 3/4 to 1% of bodyweight.
Lactating mares and and young growing horses - 1 to 1.5%
bodyweight. Adjustments may be necessary up or down
depending on bodyweight and body condition. Best to split
feed into two feedings per day. Provide plenty of good
quality hay or pasture
Features & Benefits: Elite horse feed has been designed
for those horses requiring a higher energy level feed with
higher levels of fat to maintain body condition during periods
of stress whether it be working, nursing or breeding this feed
is also well suited for older horses that have a difficulty
maintaining body weight because of age or poor teeth. This
is a softer pellet designed not to be to hard. Elite is a
high fat feed that contains soy oil as an added fat source.
Elite has also been highly fortified with high levels of very
high quality vitamins and minerals.
